CICA brings people together through community programs, cultural events, and trusted support. If you care about connection, culture, and making life better for Iranians in Calgary, there are many ways to contribute, whether you can support one event or take on an ongoing role.
Ways to get involved right now
Choose the type of involvement that fits your time, skills, and interests:
- Become a member – support CICA’s mission, stay informed, and help strengthen our community’s voice.
- Volunteer at events – help with registration, guest support, setup, logistics, photography, and on-site coordination.
- Join a committee – contribute to programs, outreach, youth & students, women & families, culture & arts, or operations.
- Share your skills – support CICA with design, writing, translation, accounting, legal, counselling, education, IT, or project management.
- Partner or sponsor – collaborate with CICA on events and programs, or provide in-kind support (venue, catering, printing, services).
- Help us reach others – invite friends, share announcements, and connect community members to CICA resources.
Volunteer roles we need
We welcome volunteers across these key teams:
- Events & Logistics Team – planning, registration, setup/tear-down, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
- Outreach & Welcome Team – welcoming newcomers, answering questions, and connecting people to local resources.
- Communications & Media Team – social media, newsletters, photography/video, content writing, and announcements.
- Youth & Student Team – youth programming, mentorship support, and community/campus engagement.
- Women & Families Team – family-focused programming, parent support, and children’s activities coordination.
- Culture & Arts Team – cultural programming, performances, exhibitions, storytelling, and community projects.
- Fundraising & Partnerships Team – sponsorship outreach, grants, donor relations, and partnerships.
- Operations & Admin Team – membership support, volunteer scheduling, administration, and coordination.

Step 1 – Tell us how you’d like to help
Fill out the “Get Involved” interest form or email us with your interests, skills, languages, and availability.
Step 2 – We’ll follow up
A CICA coordinator or board representative will contact you to confirm details and identify the best fit.
Step 3 – We match you with a team
You’ll be connected to a role aligned with your schedule and experience, with clear expectations and support.
